Are there any dog friendly Parks in Worcestershire and Gloustershire?

You are almost spoiled for choice but here are a few of our favourites to get you started.

Gheluvelt Park

Gheluvelt Park is a memorial park built in honour of those lost in the First World War. It straddles Barbourne Brook and has two distinct areas - a formal park to the east, and an informal area managed for wildlife conservation to the west, next to the River Severn. The park has somethiing for everyone including tennis courts, cafe, play areas, splashpad, bandstand with regular performances and lots more.  Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be on a lead in the formal park east of Barbourne Brook, and are not allowed on the Splashpad. Gheluvelt Park

Barnwood Park & Arboretum

Barnwood Arboretum is a Local Nature Reserve within Barnwood Park. Barnwood Park and Balancing Pond are open 24 hours a day, Barnwood Arboretum has restricted opening hours. The park and arboretum have many mature trees and in the arboretum the unimproved grassland provides habitat for birds, insects and small mammals. The arboretum is grazed by Dexter cattle in late summer and sheep in the autumn/winter. Dogs are allowed on the whole site but must be kept on a lead at all times in the Arboretum (Local Nature Reserve). Barnwood Park & Arboretum

The Bathurst Estate

In addition to the permissive farmland walks, a trial is also being run for to create a new network of dog walking routes within the Park. These new paths will allow dog walkers to access more of Cirencester Park, provided their dogs are kept on a lead. They will be clearly marked and will link up with surrounding footpaths. There are a number of leisure attractions from horse-friendly bridleways to cricket, camping and simply walking through the historic parkland and atmospheric woods. The Bathurst Estate
